Just Another Blog.....

Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone had a great Father's day! We did..... First, Mike had to run out and do errands, which was perfect for the kids and I because made mike's favorite cookies, they had sooo much fun mixing and putting all the ingredients together. Then the kids wrapped daddy's presents. We couldn't find the tape so Alex had a great idea to use glue..lol Hey, what can I say, she is very resourceful. Then the kids got ready for their performance for daddy. It consisted of two dances and a poem and confetti all over the place. LOL Then after that we went to go eat. It was a pretty good day. The kids are so special. I love their little imaginations.
Saturday, we went to another BBQ. I am really happy that we are making friends....the little group that it seems we do stuff with are really good people. It makes living overseas that much more easier when you have good friends.
This week is gonna be busy. I am babysitting my friends boys. They are really good, so no complaints...just a busy week! All in all, everyone here is good and healthy. The weather could be better, but its ok. We are still able to get outside and enjoy non rainy days. Hope everyone is doing well and are all in good health.

Happy July 4th to you all!
Will you be celebrating? On the base? Watching the Capitol 4th concert on PBS? or some TCM movies or the Military Channel? (That, and baseball is what Grand-dad Bill has lined up.) Of course, if the Germans win in soccer, there will be LOTS of celebrating; you may not be able to tell just what's the difference! Will fireworks be allowed?
Hoping your week with the two extra boys went well.
Also, wondering if all the strawberries are eaten/frozen by now. I remember having them around for AGES when we went out to pick when we lived near Columbus; now we buy them already picked! We'll make strawberry shortcake for this weekend - and have some veggie burgers. Do you have any special holiday food? Have you found an ice cream place?
We sure enjoy your blog, Cathy. It sounds as if you are meeting people (any Germans?) and beginning to feel "at home" there. I'm glad.
Lots of love and hugs to you, and all,
Grandma Patricia
