What an Experience......

Hey all,
I wanted to write about what Alex did yesterday as apart of the student council.
I am so very proud of her. Her student council put together a charity for the families of wounded soldiers, who have to be here due to the situations. They asked the school to go get some random items, such as paper towels, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, washcloths, pillows, and other items. Well they brought the items yesterday to the Fisher House. Alex said they got to meet the founder and some wounded soldiers as well. She said it was fun. She met a soldier whose legs where amputated. She said that was sad. I am just so happy that she was apart of such a great charity. She said she saw her teacher say thank you to the soldiers. She came home and asked me why she thanked them. I explained that they are fighting for us and they are brave men and women. She knew that some have died, I had to explain that a little bit too. She is growing up way to fast.
Their next project that they are working on is Christmas cards to the deployed. She has done four so far. The next big thing is something for the Wounded Soldiers. That is in February. I just wanted to share what my baby is doing these days. It really does amaze me. Please keep these families in your prayers, as well as the soldiers. What and experience........

The Set Up!
Well HELLO everyone.......
I know I know, it's been forever since I updated. Life here has been super crazy. It's been 2 months...a little over, so here goes.
Well I got a job! I work at the school cafeteria. Not my dream job but it's a job and it has the best schedule I could ask for! I work from 8-2 everyday,so I am home when the kids are home and off when they are off, including summers, holidays,Christmas break, etc.... I don't have to pay childcare so that's a BIG plus! I am looking to get into the school system here, same schedule pretty much! Thats something I would to do. So yes, just with that, life is crazy. Then there was soccer, 4 days a week I was doing soccer. The girls had fun so that's what counts, not me being exhausted and stressed for two months...lol Alex, did awesome, she really is good and she said she wants to do it again next year. Jackie liked it, but she is 6 and wasn't the most interested in it. She says next year she wants to do it again but I personally think dance or something like it would be good for her. Mikey isn't old enough yet to participate, he has to be 5 but he sure did have fun running around the fields. lol
Alex, also is apart of the 3rd-5th student council. She was voted to be her class rep. She is loving it!! They are doing a charity for The Fisher House. It's where they ask people to donate items to the families that have to be here because of their wounded/ill family members. They go on Wed to drop it off. I am so thrilled she gets to be apart f something like that. She also has started to go to enrichment classes. Its basically for gifted/bright students. She goes once a week. They are learning about rocks and minerals and doing research on them. She is doing GREAT in school. Her reading is at a 5th grade level and her teacher says her strong suit is writing. So proud of her.
Jackie is doing great in school as well. She is reading very well and her teacher says she is very good and organized at school. If only these kids can carry these traits home. LOL Jackie has lost 4 teeth, so she has a huge whole in her mouth. LOL Jackie has also really been getting drawing....she is really good at it...just like her big sister.
Mikey is Mikey. He has become such a little boy. I mean rough housing, jumping off of things, trying to beat his sisters up. I am not use to this. It amazes me to see the big boy part come out. He will always be my baby though. Then there is the sweet gentle side of him, where he wants to "cuddle" with me. I love that side. He is doing good in school, he really does enjoy it. I cant wait until he starts really learning German. He is so funny with trying to tell me what word he learned that day.
Now, we are getting ready for the holidays. Trying to finish up the last of the Christmas shopping for the kiddies. Almost done. I cant wait so that way I can enjoy the season and not be stressed over presents. We have plans to attend the Christmas markets here. I am so very excited abut that. I cant wait! Also cant wait to get my tree up!! I love this season.
We are all doing well, just busy busy. Alex had a sleepover the other night with her friends for her birthday. That was interesting, 4 little 9yr old girls. Let's just say I was POOPED! Next Saturday we are having friends over to celebrate her birthday! So two parties for her!! Well, that is it for now, I promise I will try to update a little more. It was just by the time night time rolled around I was to tired to write. LOL I really miss and love everyone!! Until next time!
