Well, today was a pretty cool day We got up and went to the Rhine River. St Goar. Its about an hour and some away. We went to the ruins of Rheinfels Castle. It was built in the early 1200's. It was sooo cool. The kids had a blast exploring and going into the tunnels. The castle does not have a roof, due to it being destroyed by the French. The middle part is still in tact, so there is a museum, hotel and restaurant. We went exploring in the mine tunnels, the slaughter house, little tunnels here and there, and most important, the dungeon. The kids were so excited to see that. We will be going back in the next couple of weeks to go see the other castles on the Rhine River area. We saw a least 4 other castles just from the road. We cant wait to go back. The view from the castle was spectacular. Breathtaking! We had a great day today.

Now it is 1105 pm and I am exhausted. Today really wore me,actually all of us, out! Tomorrow is going to be a lazy lounge around day I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

These Days Are Flying By!

Hey everyone! Well the last few days have been busy ones....I feel like I have been non-stop. We got our closets and washer and dryer the other day, so I have been doing tons and tons of laundry and putting away all the clothes. This is a challenge in itself, since the 5 closets we got dont seem to hold all the clothes...lol It is all getting done though...cant wait to get the last two rooms DONE!
The kids are doing great. I talked to Alex's teacher, and she says she wishes she could have 20 of her. She is ready for third grade! I am sooo proud of her. Today I asked Jackie's teacher how she was doing and she said great! She is reading and writting very well. She is ready for first grade. Proud mamma moments! I love those. My kids are growing up so fast. People always said to enjoy the years they are small....I really understand now. Its starting to hit me that they wont be young forever! Mikey will be off to German school next year...what am I going to do with myself? LOL

I have to share, today, Mikey was standing on his train table yelling out the window. Mind you, he is on the third floor and the windows don't have screens. I heard him in my bathrrom, so I went upstairs and told him to stop. I told him that he could fall and hurt himself really, really bad. He replied, "It's okay mommy, Batman and Spiderman will come and get me". I couldnt help but laugh. He is really starting to get into all the superheros and Power Rangers. He is sooo funny.
The weather here has been on and off, rainy...but then sunny and nice. I am starting to get use to it. I just want it to remain warm at least. Other than that, nothing to special yet. Dont know what this weekend has in store. I will let you all know soon! Hope everyone ha a nice, relaxing,and safe holiday weekend!

In A Blink Of An Eye

So today was very busy...on the go pretty much all day! Almost didnt write a blog. First I had to go through bulk garbage from boxes to go drop off at the dumping place on base. Let me tell you, its a very tidous job. See, in Germany, recycling is HUGE, so everything gets recycled. Dont get me wrong, its a great thing, but just not use to it. So it took me 2 hours just to go through junk and seperate before taking it over there. That alone just wore me out. Then, I get over there and it took me like 40 minutes to get rid of it all. Tomorrow, I will be doing the same thing. Its worth it because all the boxes are finally getting out of the shed....lol I refuse to have them in the house.

After that was said and done, Mikey and I headed over to the Bx/Px, to pick up a few things. Then I got to have lunch with my little man. He is such a goofy little guy. I am going to be so sad when he goes to school. He is growing up so fast, they all are, but he will always be my baby! After school, the kids got to play in water at a friends house. They had a blast. Unfortunately, it looks like the weather is going to get chilly again. This weather turns on and off in a blink of an eye! I hope the summer is warm!

So the big news for the day is...................... *drum roll* ................................... We are getting our WASHER and DRYER and ClOSETS tomorrow!!!! YEAH! Never been so excited! LOL Ahhhh the little things in life. Hee hee! Well I think I am gonna hit the hay. I am beat I have to prepare for another busy day tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well!

Just Another Day.....

Well, today was another beautiful day. The kids were in school and Mikey and i just hung out around here.....cleaned...lol. We walked to go get the gorls from school and Mikey rode his bike....Thank goodness for my friend who walked with me. She helped me carry the scooters...push Mikey. The sidewalks here are ridiculosly narrow. So Mikey was having a hard time staying on the sidewalk. LOL He did it though....well at least all the way to the bus stop. One the way home I mostly carried my 35lb baby boy. After school...they were living it up outside. I love that I can let them play outside here everyday...well when its nice.

Mike came home with my chair for the living room. I am sooooo excited. Its a recliner and soooo comfy and cozy. The house looks better and better everyday!

Well, again nothing really exciting...I cant wait for the kiddos to get out of school so we can go explore. Hopefully it will be before Mike goes to flight....where his schedule will be funky.... We are thinking of going to the Rhine River this weekend. Hope the weather will be nice enough. Thats it for today....Hope everyone is having a greta Monday!

Just wanna be lazy.....

Happy Sunday everyone! Today was beautiful again....I love this weather! Today I tried a new church. It was good....the kids really liked it and the music was great! The only thing was I felt a little awkward there.....I really don't like going to new places......lol Hopefully God has a place for me here.
After church, we came home and the kiddos played outside. I sat and had a daiquiri with my neighbors. Such the perfect weather for that. So relaxing. LOL My neighbor fed the kids, Mike, and I. It was scrumptious. Not too much going on today...just a lazy Sunday. This week is gonna be busy! Just a lot to do.....
BTW....Jackie has a loose tooth! She is so excited! I will post pics once it comes out! Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!

Just to start off......

Well, I figured I would get on the bandwagon and start my own blog. Considering I am so far from family and friends, this would be a good way to share whats going on in my crazy,hetic,but awesome life. This will be short blog,as I am just getting started.
Today was BEAUTIFUL here. We were actually wearing shorts,tank tops, and FLIP FLOPS. As you can see I am very excited about that. LOL I worked on the little area by our front door. The last tentant here, I guess, was just nasty. They didn't care about anything. So we are left to pick up th pieces. Its ok though, I like doing that stuff,it relaxes me. The kids got to play outside all day and ride their bikes and scooters. It wore them out! I cant wait for summer...they will be outside all day!
Mike right now is putting together his new desk and entertainment center. He really wants HIS room to be done. LOL As for the house, we are almost done. Everyhing is coming together,eventhough the curtains and rod came tumbling down on me today, LOL So now I will be looking for lighter curtains...most likely sheer ones. The only thing we are waiting for, are closets from the Gov. We have lived here for almost 2 months and we still do not have closets or a washer and dryer. So our room is a disaster, since we have no closets to put the clothes in and the movers broke our bedroom set, two dressers and our bed frame. I know, the movers did a horrible job. Well at least everything else is good and pretty much unpacked.
Thats pretty much it for today. Tomorrow, I and the kiddos will try a new church. I am excited, yet nervous. Its a big church and I always feel awkward walking into a place where I know noone...lol I will let you all know how that goes tomorrow. Well everyone, goodnight and I will write more tomorrow!

OH!!! I almost forgot, today my sweet little girl, Alex, wanted to clean the kitchen this morning, So she rinsed off the dishes and loaded the dishwasher. Such a big girl now. I was shocked! Not surprised though, she is such a great helper.
